So OK ... Vee Jay 30 is not in water, but for the last seven years, we spinned this ancient 1.5 oz spin bought from Ebay for under $200. It originally had a brass swivel at the head that weighed about 8 oz. and was obviously from a boat a lot older than 30 years. The design was from the old Christmas Seals and it became our Xmas Spin which we flew between Thanksgiving and Xmas.

So here is Vee Jay 30's Xmas spin on Vee Jay 80 ... it runs about 1.5 kt slower than the standard A sail on a reach ... But hey, the A sail can't go dead down wind as well ... So as a early Merry Christmas from the Vee Jay team ... a J/30 spin wing on wing on a J/80. [little bit more of a challenge to jibe]
