The following information is provided to help those attending the J/30 SNE Regional Regatta 21/22 July 2012

Mooring:

Those who desire a mooring at Newport YC, please call the Newport YC dock office at 401.846.9410 then press #2. Tell person that you request a mooring at the J/30 discounted rate for the regatta.

Parking:

Parking is very limited at Newport YC and reserved for members only. There is a public parking lot a 5 minute walk from Newport YC at the Newport Visitor's Center located at 23 America's Cup Avenue, adjacent to the Marriott Hotel.

Food:
  • You may order box lunches from the Blue Rocks Market for delivery to Newport YC. The lunch menu is available at this link. Dial 401.847.9668 before 7pm the night before to order your lunches for next day delivery at the YC. Payment is made via credit card.
  • Panera Bread is located at 49 Long Wharf Mall, telephone (401) 324-6800, about a 3 minute walk from the Newport YC. They offer coffee, breakfast and lunches.
  • There is a Stop & Shop located at 250 Bellevue Avenue if you desire to buy supplies to make your own lunches.
  • Friday evening for skipper's meeting - Newport YC offers a mixed grill and cash bar. Additionally Newport has numerous restaurants withing walking distance of Newport YC.
  • Saturday after racing - Angelo's will cater an Italian Meal at Newport YC. Advanced reservations will be taken for tickets (payable at the door) at a price of $12 per person that covers cheese and cracker platter as an appetizer, dinner, and dessert. A cash bar will be available at Newport YC. You'll have a choice of choice of one entrée including
    • Hearty Meat Lasagna - Seven layers of fresh lasagna noodles, pecorino romano and mozzarella cheeses, Angelo's own Bolognese sauce and a special blend of ricotta and spices all covered in their own house sauce
    • Angelo's award winning Veal & Peppers - Tender veal simmered in its own juice with peppers and a light tomato sauce
    • Grilled Vegetable Lasagna - Fresh grilled carrots, eggplant, zucchini, and summer squash layered in lasagna noodles with pecorino, romano and mozzarella cheeses, a special blend of ricotta and spices, and Angelo's own veggie sauce
      Included with each entrée will be tossed salad, Italian bread and a mini homemade cannoli.

      Note that we will email skippers in advance to obtain a head count so that Angelo's can prepare the proper amount of food.
