Good morning,

We had our first solo cruise (she and I) and it was a success! We just ran the jib to keep it simple...main will go up shortly. We were concentrating on sailing to a relatively planned course and destination. However, one question we had though was related to tacking our 155 jib on a roller furling. When we would tack, the sail would sometimes get stuck for a minute (prolly less) on the front shrouds. That in itself didn't seem like a big deal. I just want to make sure we're not supposed to furl the sail a bit before tacking or perhaps install shroud rollers or something...I also worry about the lazy sheet rubbing on the shrouds as well.

Does anyone have any thoughts on this? I tend to overthink things...so maybe this is one of those times. I also don't want to mess up expensive sails and rigging through ignorance either.

Thanks,

Nate
