I own the boat Rob is talking about. Access is not all that bad. Everything you need is either in front or the starboard side of the engine. To do an oil change I have to pull the plywood behind the steps. The oil fill is just behind the bulkhead at the front of the cockpit. Even with a small funnel I can fill it. To change the filter I pull the plywood off the starboard quarter berth. The one issue (at least for me) is that the engine/transmission barely fits forward/aft. I think I have a different transmission than typical, so that might be why. You can't service a standard stuffing box with the spacing between the shaft coupling and shaft log. My mechanical called lasdrop and modified their stuffing box to the absolute minimum configuration to make it fit. The other odd thing is I'm missing quite a bit of engine pan. I'm not sure if that's normal or something about fitting the 2YM with the lower height clearance. I'll try to take some pictures this weekend.
