It’s time to commit! We are back! Lake Michigan J/30 One Design racing as it was meant to be!
Register at the link above please.
I believe we will have the following boats (all yet to register!) for the Verve Cup:
1) Team Zephyr coming up from NO, LA! 2) Planxty 3) Temptation 4) Ricochet 5) Flocks N Geese – Dan Gies new J/30 owner, rehab! 6) Sweet Chariot – Eric Jones – ditto above! Both boats sailing from Milwaukee. 7) Hulaballoo rides again! Thanks to Thomas Heinrich for this restoration & refit 8) Awesome
Who am I forgetting? Please advise if there is a missing boat who belongs here
Wow guys, this is fantastic to be in this situation. Can you please commit & confirm this week? I assume that each of us has been on the fence waiting for something to happen and this now is the time!
Special note to Dennis Bartley from the Planxty: Would you please let us know where we should keep our boats? The raft up at CYC Monroe is always a mash up which has it’s ups and downs, but let’s all be in the same place? Perhaps your marina? Please advise. Also everybody should know the Dennis has been a regular motivator for me this year in getting the class show on the road – thank you Dennis.

It is greatly disappointing that we won’t be able to race you guys at the Verve Cup. We’ve got a crew shortage, same old story from me isn’t it. I’m sorry friends.
Have a good Verve Cup.

Sorry I will not be able to make it down from Milwaukee this year. I'm very excited about the possibility of racing one design and will definitely plan on it for next year. It's very exciting that in Milwaukee we have gone from zero J/30's actively racing to three in just two years. There is even a fourth in the water but it is only raced on longer distance races.
