Dear J30 owners, I am on the very brim of joining your ranks and owning my very first J30. I say first because the Dane blood coursing through my veins has a history of better-buy-another-boat syndrome A temporary fix for this incurable disease is to get my first boat here to our wonderful harbor and join the great fleet of New Orleans J30's! To do this I need your help. I am looking to borrow a trailer to get a J30 from Jacksonville, FL home to New Orleans. Seeing as this will put about 550 miles of wear and tear on your trailer, if you would like i would be more than willing to compensate you for the inconvenience, just name your price! THANKS SO MUCH FOR YOUR HELP! Sincerely, Regan Norton - daughter of Tim and Debra Norton - daughter of John Dane Jr.

Weight should be fine. 2 issues that I see:
1. The J30 has a deeper keel from the bottom of the hull. You'll have to be able to adjust the pads up enough, but that should not be a problem if you are creative.
Right. that's what i was thinking. the question is how do i find out hot much i need to raise the pads? I have looked over the specs i can find online however no body mentions how tall they need to be... 2. Bigger issue. The J30's center of gravity is behind the keel a bit. Not sure how much. You have to get that center of gravity in front of the rear wheels on the trailer. Otherwise it's going to go nose up and and worst case dump your boat or wreck boat, trailer and tow vehicle. worst case??? ya think? yeah!!!! hahaha so basically it might not be long enough to get the COG in front of the rear axle... thanks Mark!
