2 years ago I used Interlux non-skid gray. It was too hot so last year I repianted using a topside paint. It not as hot but on a couple of rainy days the deck was very slippery. So It looks like if I have the boat in the spring I will need to redo the non-skid. Any suggestion on a good non-skid and color that not white or to dark. THe nice part of the light gray was it did not look dirty.

I did Brightsides Kingston Grey on the nonskid 7 years ago with Awlgrip's coarse nonskid additive. Lighter grey on the gloss. I like the nonskid. VERY grippy without pain.

The Kingston Grey? Liked the hide the dirt effect but...

HOT, VERY HOT!

Also, Brightsides doesn't have the durability. Planning on System 3 WR LPU this time. Still 2 tone but almost white for both nonskid and gloss.

I used 2 parts pearl grey, 1 part flattener, 1 part brushing converter, ( all awlgrip ), and colloidal sillica mixed to a peanut butter paste. Brushing it on....
You only need to mix a tiny bit to cover the area you want to repair. I always end up mixing to much.
pearl grey was the closest to the original deck color, it is a bit lighter than kingston
(which is my hull color) and also a little warmer in tone.
I'll try to get some pics tomorrow....

I plan on using MAS Epoxy Felxmold to restore the non-skid pattern with color matched gelcoat in areas that I recore. I got a sample for Rhapsody and the mold pattern is #312 to match the original non-skid surface. Look at the video from the MAS Epoxy site.

Different Grays on 526 gray deck.

I haven't got to this yet ... maybe next week.

I have redone the entire deck using awlgrip oyster white. Sanded the original non-skid, applied one coat awlgrip and sprinkled course colloidal silica while wet. Vacuumed excess colloidal silica and applied second coat. Worked well and provides a deck much easier to maintain than the original.
