Indeed that's me in the sunglasses. Light air Annapois YC Wednesday Night race back in 2005. Luckily Tucker did not arrive in time to see me strip down to tighty whiteys before jumping in. Those shy guys as the camera approaches are long time crew Bill with past measurer Larry in the red Chuck's. Both claimed they said/knew we were going to run aground near the channel to Back Creek--you can see the post that marks the entrance just under the boom around the 20 second mark. After about five minutes of trying we were able to push off and get back in the race, Of course it was abandoned soon thereafter for lack of breeze.

My Dad, 'Cappy' was one of Tucker Thompson's favorite old salts. Sad to say in addition to losing Dad early the next year, Ted the fellow helping me push, passed away of natural causes a few months ago at just 43.
