Welcome Brandon Forbes as the new owner of Hull #246 "Windancer". The boat is being moved to Prince Edward Island and should be able to race with the J/30s Surprise and Midnite.

Welcome Brandon to the Northern New England J/30 District!

Congratulations Brandon
Starting to get lots of j30's around
This winter I am contacting all the local J30's as there might be enough for our own class at Chester. long way from PEI

Well the goal is to one design race as much as possible. One more J30 and we have our own start for Charlottetown Race week. Would be great to rival the J29's someday who had 11 last year. Id love to see at least one of our three j30's head to Chester and will be interested in promoting that idea. Also, the round the island (PEI 330nms)would be a perfect race for a J30... just throwing that out there.

Yes there is a strong j29 fleet here also. I spent 2 years in summerside looking after all the electrical work on the confederation bridge so around the island would be nice to go back for.

I posted a new topic, but figured I'd throw in here as well. I'm planning on moving my boat (Simple Sailing #210) to the Salem/Marblehead area and am looking for recommendations on where to keep her.

The plan is to do some racing (assuming I can assemble a crew).

Any thoughts are most appreciated!

Cheers,
Brian

It is pretty easy to get crew for Wed night beer can racing off Marblehead. That is a great way to build crew. They are run out of the Boston Yacht Club in Marblehead and there seems to always be people hanging around looking to go racing.
