I have Navman 3100 depth and speed, they are square displays. Is the Datamarine unit a round display? Do you have the masthead unit as well? On another subject, How much research have you put into the spreader fix? I'm not sold on it yet.

Confirming the same thing David Bows said. He and I both had the same NAVMAN 3100 wind instruments that failed after one year - sending unit died and the displays fogged up. Go TackTick! Since we bought our TackTick T101 wireless wind system, they have introduced a lower cost T033 Wind System with 12V powered display that is still wireless to the sending unit. I know it's pricier than a wired system, but they just work and are easy to install!
Also confirming above Tacktick intoductary line is very similar in price to Raymarien ST60 We went with they Raymarine product due to very little client support from TackTick up here
Yes the Datamarine is round units, yes I have the mast head unit as well / no hull transducers - those had to be drilled out for removal

Chances are good that the NAVMAN transducers will work since they are probably made by Airmar. Go to this Airmar link and search for NAVMAN. Then look to see what the related Airmar Xducer series is. Pull the data sheet and compare it to TackTick T911 Speed/Temp (Airmar ST650) and TackTick T912 Depth (Airmar DT800 200kHz transducer). NAVMAN and TackTick both use the Airmar standard analog format from the transducers (e.g. paddlewheel pulses for speed, not NMEA 0183 or NMEA 2000).
I replaced old Datamarine hull transducers after I hauled the boat. Same diameter hole, so no redrilling required.

So do you leave the display out to recharge or bring it inside to be secure? with the t101 is it fully wireless-no 12v supply to the display either? Do you also have Tacktick Depth and Speed?
I take the instruments off and store them on brackets inside the boat when not in use. During winter storage, they sit on the windowsill in my home office and stay fully charged.
I have no 12V connected to any TackTick displays, only to the NMEA and Hull interface modules. There is a schematic link at the bottom of the forum post above to look at how it's wired.
