I would be interested in bullseye deck fairleads, there are two sizes. I need one of the smaller ones. I would also like to see the handrails. All four.

Just a quick message to let folks know that Ted was leaving for a cruise the day after he posted this. He called me for help in making the post. So - stand by until he returns in order to receive a reply. I'm not sure the exact date he'll be back, but he isn't ignoring you....

Another item I need is some teak and holly flooring. Specifically I need to replace my area at the mast step. So whether from that area or or the main cabin I need enough to cover the step. Thank you.

Ted, Yet another thing I still need is a Bow pulpit. i checked one out from an earlier model boat without success. Lifeline lengths were a problem. Your hul 420 is closer to mine 484. Perhaps yours will work for me. Is it available? Don
I really don't know about the age of the aProp! It ison a 1" shaft. other than that I don't know! I did pull the cutlass bearing off! Don't ask why! ! !

Thanks Ted, If you measure the distance from the stem to the aft base on the bow pulpit, this will tell me the position. Then i need the span, center to center of both the front bases and the back bases. A picture would be good too! Please send the info to my email, ddking3070@sbcglobal.net Don Then we can talk about other stuff I need too.
Yesterday I went to Teds house to look at the equipment that he is offering for sale from Hull #420. I was looking for things that I didn't need, but couldn't live without. It was sad seeing the residuals from a J-30 disection. Several things really got my attention:
A fully rigged boom (two reefs, outhaul, vang tang, bail) It is white and the paint is in good condition, no corrosion, scrapes or whiskey bumps.
He did not have the mast at the house, but said it was in good/similar condition with the standing rigging still attached.
He has the shaft,(one inch) strut and martec prop. All appear to be in good condition. The prop opened and closed fine, no looseness, Could not detect any cracks.
Barient Primary Winches. Pulled one appart and it was in good shape. They need to be cleaned-up and have annual maintenance, but the pawls, spring are good. They come with the mounting nuts and bolts.
He has the cast maststep and the stemhead fitting. both are in good shape.
There appears to be the entire set of deck hardware.
He has the jib tracks and the merriman lead blocks. The original traveler car and track. All have the nuts and bolts to attach the tracks. He has the bow and stern pulpits (no dings and have the running lights attached) There are the life lines, Stanchions and bases with backing plates and the nuts and bolts.
Lots of other stuff. Opening top companionway step, anchor well cover, Cockpit lazerette doors, rudder with all the hardware. Mainsheet blocks, ice box lid, sink, ladder, chain plates, freshwater pumps, etc.
We took a quick look at the sails. He has some Scott Allen Horizon sails 105 and 150 and spinnaker(probably original). He also has a Mylar 163 (Doyle) and a spinnaker (Shurr) and a Main. Horizon sails: The 105 with battens looks like it has very little use. The 150 was dacron and looked fairly clean. The spinnaker has tape patches and has seen better days but would be good for crew practice and afternoon cruises.
He also has a Shurr spinnaker (.75)that looks to be in pretty good shape; no patches or holes, the cloth feels fine the tapes looked to be in good condition-it is several years old but did not look like it had much use.
Doyle 163 Mylar. Did not get a real good look at this the foot was discolored with dirt.
Main. I don't remember the sailmaker. Top two full battens and one set of reef points. He has all four "Ratbattens" It needs some work on the panel at the second full batten. It looks like it was punctured and has tears from the spreaders. The foot just above the boom has two spots that need some minor repair (small patches) The cloth looked okay and still had good crispness. It has been stored rolled and didn't have any creases.

I am not sure if I did or didn,t send/answer any thing about parts/price! A lot of things people say about old people, sadly enough, are true! What answers or photos do I owe you?
I think I do have those parts .............. If you will go to www.lakenormansailing.com scroll down to th J30 parts and look at photo #18 & 19. Ther are two sets of tracks. I do have the two long ones with the Cars. The cars are in good shape. The Bolts and washers and Acorn caps are intact.

Wildcat got mauled in a race this past weekend. Am in need of a couple of lifeline stanchions. Do you have any? Please email ratkinson@ellisontechnologies.com
I do have the complete Rudder, tiller and ALL related hardware for Tiller, rudder and Boat , however I would rather not seperate any of that. The Ruddr is in great shape. it does have some Adolescent zits that i am in the process of smoothing out at. We don't have any J 30's around here any more. if you have a Fleet up there, why don't you take to whole ystem and have the parts available to some local fellows?
I think that for the Tiller, Rudder, ALL related parts plus shipping , should go for around seven hundred. all in great shape except ZITS on Rudder lower blade. I can send you a close up of everything!
