I am soon to be a new owner of a J30. I am getting quotes on trailers and also trying to find a used trailer that will work.

I have estimated the distance from the front bow stand to the trailing keel edge at 17'.

Can anyone confirm this actual measurement. I want to make sure the keel ends up in the middle of axles no matter what trailer I end up with.

Thank you

I have a three axle trailer, the center of the front axle is 15'4" from the ball, and the leading edge of the bottom of the keel is 9" behind the front axle. this gives me about 1,000 lb of tongue weight so the trailer won't sway going down the highway. My front set of stands are 8'8" from the bow of the boat, the second set are 9'9" behind the first and end up just behind the keel. the back stands are at the back of the trailer and my boat hangs three feet past. the keel sits just above the axle hight which is about 14" off the ground. The stands are all 60" high measured from the ground with the pads adjusted all the way down. the pads have 2 feet of vertical adjustment which is more than enough.

I don't know if any of that makes sense, just let me know if you need anything cleared up.
