I don't have a clue as I don't know what race it was. All I know is it's a course that took us north of the Newport Bridge with the Naval War College off in the distance on the stbd side.

I just spoke with Joe Ricci (spinnaker trimmer). This was the JYC race on Tuesday 10 Aug 2010 from Rhapsody website link. We raced and flew the spinnaker with just 3 of us. Bruce Miller who moved to Annapolis was the 3rd crew member. Kind of a short handed spinnaker race!

And if I remember right ... that was the day after we convoyed back from Marblehead NA with a really tiring CC/Buzzard's Bay leg. Blue Meanie, Rhapsody, Vee Jay and Nemesis.

Congrats Bill! My issue arrived yesterday and only got my hands on it late last night... I saw the boat, then the name, and thought, "wait - that's Bill's boat! Cool!"
Congrats - with all of the remarkable work you've done on Rhapsody AND your fantastic efforts with Dave to supercharge the owner community - I can't think of anyone more deserving of a cover shot like that.
Made me very proud to be a J/30 owner!
Cheers! - Jeff
