Will do. I remember the wind picking up with to number 3 weather on Friday @ Boston YC's NAs. A great time...

Nice. The emergence of video on the J/30.org site is great.

I do have a few questions though:

1.) what are those strange looking pants with no legs? And, hats with no tops? And - how is it you can wear those in May without being cold? I'm from Seattle so I'm curious. ;-)

2.) was that a Hobie 33 I saw in there? Great old boats. Do you sail handicap against them and how does that turn out in the light air?

Cheers,
- Jeff

It is 70-80 degress now in New Orleans. Hey I have some musician friends in Seattle in case you are looking for crew.

Yes, that was a Hobbie 33, there are three on the lake all with advanced material mains. We can't compete with our Dakron... LOL

Hey Dave-

Once we get the boat back into race mode, may ask for their contact info. We have a pretty good group of longtime racing friends but can always use more folks on the crew list.

>>Re: the Hobie 33s and dacron... Somehow, I'm guessing a carbon main on the J/30 wouldn't matter. Those 33s are quick in the light stuff (or maybe the J/30 is just sticky... wink.

Cheers,
- Jeff

I suppose we could re-visit the main issue, again or we could start an interesting discussion about Hobie 33 vs J/30 but what I really want to know is....
If you lock a dog and a girl in the trunk of your car, which one will be glad to see you? smile

Was out in Seattle a couple of weeks ago. Nice Irish session at Fado on Sunday evenings. Good tunes... good beer. It's a very nice town.

Dan Darrow (ex Salacious) lives near Port Townsend if you're looking for J/30 peoples.

My friends live near Kirkwood I think. They would love to go sailing.
