I would like to see a query of programs planning on sailing NAs in Annapolis this year. Last time at AYC/Eastport YC in 2007, we raced 20 boats.

We will have a crew represent Southern New England and will need a loaner boat. It will probably be a combination of Rhapsody, Nemesis and Falcon.

We hope to see the NOR and loaner boat process posted by the NA organizers soon so we can make plans for this event!

It would be helpful if the SNE group and others who need a loaner would indicate so as soon as possible so I can make arrangements.

Are any boats (besides us) planning to travel to be at this years NA's?

Crusader from Eastern Great Lakes is planning on attending depending on launching costs otherwise we would request a loaner boat .

Thirteen boats are entered, not including Blue Meanie, Smiles or Fuzzy Wuzzy. Due Aug 16 before a $100 late fee kicks in!

2011 J/30 North American Championship at Annapolis YC

One week left until late entry period closes. 18 currently entered with Blue Meanie, Crusader, and White Boat coming from afar plus Rhapsody/Falcon and one other mystery boat on loaner boats. Most of the fleet will be racing this weekend in CBYRA Annapolis Race Week.

Can you give us a weekend report?

Is there a hoist that we could use to drop our mast in at AYC (or Eastport if none at AYC)? The yard fees for stepping are VERY steep, and I don't own a gin pole...

Steve - I would expect that the race organizers should have this information available for the competitors with information for out of town participants. I'll send a message to the Chesapeake Fleet organizers and ask them to post info.

AYC and I have both been in contact with Steve looking for an alternative solution and suggestions but I am unsure what the outcome will be.

Larry Christy - would you please let us know what the "plastic sliders" are on the 2011 NA measurement checklist? They are not called out in the class rules, and I am unclear what is meant by this.

I received clarification from Larry. The plastic sliders on the measurement checklist are the plexiglass sliding covers on all main cabin the storage lockers.
