Velocity Girl developed a serious leak in the transom and the moisture has migrated along the bottom into the starboard storage. I have opened it up and am getting ready to re-core. I have gotten great advice already about how to do it all and I am no fiberglass novice, however, I am having problems sourcing some of the supplies... especially the Balsa. I am in Upstate N.Y. and need to order it soon as the weather is finally warm enough to work. I also was hoping to get some advice as to where to order the bi-weave fiberglass. I am looking for quality suppliers and reasonable (for boat stuff) prices. I have emailed two Balsa suppliers and have gotten very little in the way of help or even responses from them. Looking forward to the help! Thanks in advance to everyone!

I got mine from Jamestown Distributors at this link. Sounds like you have the exact same issue I had with Rhapsody.

I also recommend a product called Core Bond. It is easier to work with than mixing thickened West systems for bonding new core to the glass.
