Anybody know if the hose for the bilge pump is glassed in? Is it reasonably easily replaceable?

Dennis,,

Yes it is glassed in, no it is not reasonably accessible and it is a real PIA to replace with the original hose.

I cut off the ends by the bilge sump and by the engine, then snaked a new smaller diameter hose through the old hose section, used and adapter at the pump, and replaced the strainer to match the diameter of the new hose. Cut your hose, then take a portion to a marine supplier and see what you can snake through the center of it. Then buy the entire length with the adapter. I used soapy water to help when I snaked it through the old hose section.

I did the same thing using the 1" light weight white corregated hose to snake through with adapters to the 1.5" hose on either end.

My bilge pump hose cracked at a point inside the the bilge just ahead of where it goes under the flooring. Upon inspection, the rest of the hose appeared fleible and functional. So, I cut the hose off cleanly at the broken area, inserted a short piece of hard plastic tubing (I think it was part of a home sink drain kit I found at Ace Hardware). That tubing was cut off to be about 8" long. About 2"-3" of that was snuggly stuffed in the end that protruded into the bilge and held tight with a hose clamp. Similarly, the remainder of the hose was attached to the other end of plastic tubing and securred with a second hose clamp. 4 years later it's still pumping fine
