And, in the same time, we change winches to Lewmar self-tailing 44. It was not the same holes positions, so I need to full the hole with epoxy and drill new hole.
It was my first work with epoxy, I was too much busy to takes pictures while working !
I use this very good technic : http://www.pbase.com/mainecruising/sealing_the_deck

Marie,

What did you end up using under the track? Is that plastic, wood or the old track? Nice winches!

Hi,

It's old track.
We put it back, and put back some of the screws (minus 8 screws). Then we put the new track with sliding screws (8 screws, 3 for each end and 2 in the middle) in the 8 remaining holes.
It was difficult to put these 8 screws right down in the holes, but finaly we succeed.

Ok - that should work fine. You'll notice that there is a small space between the track and the cutout area where the track is mounted. I found this collected dirt, shrimp, grapes, cheese, chips and anything else you consume. That is one reason I ended up filling in the area completely with the 1" x 3" wood strips.

Félicitations Marie. J'aimerai faire ces modifications à mon bateau aussi... un jour. Merci pour l'avoir si bien rechercher et documenter.

Translation: Congrats Marie. I'd like to one day make the same modifications to my boat. Thanks for well researching and documenting the process.
