I don't have them. Yet. One windy day I will surely say, "I wish I had rigged those twing lines."
So I better plan on it.
How have you got yours rigged ?
Have you lead a block to the bail at the bottom of the stanchion base ? (or is the structure too weak there ?)
Then lead the line from there to the #3 track & cleated her off there ?
Or have you gone whole hog & mounted a new pad eye to the side decks with a standup block, and lead the line aft to the side of the doghouse to a new cam cleat ?
Appreciate your input. Thank you
Dell

Dell, I rigged the latter - put the camcleat at the edge of the cabin-top, near the handrail, so the pit can easily grab it. Have pad-eyes at the rail and base of the cabin, I don't use the stanchion. It can probably take the load, but the stanchion eyes are not built with the strength of a pad-eye so I just don't use them. Watch the OD pad-eye number limit.

Been using the stanchion on one side for years with no problem. Use a padeye on one side. Lines are lead to base of cabin at deck. Pit can reach from there if we have a designated pit or I or one of the trimers does it. Larry
