Over 75% of the New Orleans area is with out power. We can confirm that all Southshore J/30s are still floating. We will post more details as communications improve. The Lakeview area was about 6+ feet above normal tides. Winds were sustained at 50 with peaks above 70.
I live much closer to the path of the storm, we noted winds about 80-90. Many trees are down causing the massive power outages. For those interested, we have posted some Isaac photos on web site http://NOYC.org. We'll post updates as known.

Newport and Naples
thanks for update ... in Naples we were forecasted with 7 ft surge ... ended up with super lows ... had Vee Jay sitting on keel in hard mud at dock with dock lines holding it vertical ... just could see top of keel according to my Naples crew reports.

Most of the people here in the north just don't realize how warm the Gulf waters get toward the end of summer ... this could have been way, way worse all along the Gulf Coast.

Surface water temps around Naples can go 90.

Hope that your recovery is way better than last time.
