Here's a real performance related topic...... I've recently purchased #394 and as the sail inventory is quite decent I've decided to focus on the little stuff. The plastic sink in the head is cracked and leaking, where can I find a stock replacement?

It's standard size RV sink. I got this stainless one several years ago from an RV parts supplier online.

While we are on the head-sink topic, anyone know of a faucet that fits the stock head sink cutouts?

Mine is badly corroded and I've not seen anything that will drop right in. Something light/plastic would be ideal.

I could not find one either. I took a piece of Starboard and cut out a piece that fit over the old holes and big enough to fit under a new faucet. Then screwed it in place. Then I re-drilled it to fit the new faucet. I also put a bit of Silicon sealant under it so water would not leak through.

If you look at mine you can see I put new laminate on the sink frame. It's not hard. If you did that you could fill the existing holes and put in any faucet you like.

Nice looking work Mark. Any suggestions on a source for the head sink drain's chromed brass 90 degree wall bend / waste arm? These seem to be elusive in 1-1/4".

Thanks,

-Chris

On Radiant #255 I am replacing the hand pump with a left hand Whale galley foot pump Mk lll, so I can wash both hands simultaneously. The pump body is installed in the locker forward of the head where the overboard discharge seacock is. The old hand pump hole has been covered by a teak hand soap dispenser and a Whale collapsible spigot installed between the sink and the mirror.
Search the forum for "pump" to find photos of the installation I based my project on.
