Mine is leaking and I have purchased a replacement. Does anyone have any tips on removing the old tank and installing the new?

That is a head scratcher Steve, I will take a peek at mine tomorrow. Is your replacement the same shape and size?

Steve, I removed mine to clean it and had to cut away the fiberglass tabs holding it in place. With a bit of effort the tank then slid aft and out the storage cutout. I left the vertical section of the tabs in order to thru-bolt some new L-shaped plywood tabs that now hold the tank in it's place. Sam

That is kind of what I thought would be the way to do it. Thanks!

Steve, any suggestion for this project, since you went through it already. What mfg did you go with for the new tank? I Stopped up the drain holes from the engine and diesel compartment with oilsorb sheets to try to confirm the source is the tank.
I‮m starting to see diesel in the bilge and it doesn‮t look to be coming from the engine. I‮m assuming, for OD rules, we can‮t install a plastic or smaller tank?

I actually found a used tank that was off a boat being "parted out". Pretty sure you have to stick w metal tank for OD, but you might want to ask LC. I did locate a fabricator who could make a new tank as I recall-I will see if I can find the info about it.
