What is your racing bottom preference Baltoplate or other? Reference: Interlux Baltoplate

VC Offshore - same family as Baltoplate but with Teflon in it so it burnishes well.

We're in fresh water here and the pretty much universal bottom is VC-17. 3 coats lasts 2 seasons with care.

I use Interlux 2000 for Barrier coat and then VC 17m in Fresh water on Lake Ontario. Usually put on 1 -1.5 coats every year with a light sand. Interlux about every 7-8 years

Blitz is in the saltwater of Narragansett Bay and uses VC Offshore. Went over 5 years on the last paint job, which required touchup and re-wetsand in a few spots. Didn't look all that great, but with cleanings every week or two, was very smooth and fast. 1.25 gallons for 2+ coats this year and it is slightly easier to clean each week.

The baltoplate has worked well for me this season, noticeable improvement in light air. Even managed to be "antifouling", at least for awhile. Bottom was growth free in the warmish salt water of Portland harbor for 5 weeks, then cleanings every two weeks until august... then the weeklies began...
