RHUM LINE is one of the very few Late model 1986 boats on the market. Hull #533 out of 545 built.

Very nice sail inventory both cruise and Performance in wonderful condition..

RHUM LINE was purchased new at the 1986 Annapolis Boat Show for $61,000. The boat is in great condition & is located at the Hampton Yacht Club in Hampton, Virginia for showing. Sports a very sweet Yanmar in great running condition.

RHUM LINE was pulled DEC.8, 2016 and splashed April 6th. 2017. During the 4 months, the bottom was glast blasted using grade 'fine' glass to remove All the years of layer after layer of anti foulant. Much of the blasting was focused also on the fin to produce the highest efficient 'no drag, humanly possible. After the glass blast sanding and cleaning prep work was done. ALL the nicks battle scars were filled with Marine Tex and the hull was re sanded and prepped for 4 coats of Duvoe 234 bottom barrier coat. Each coat was a different color to insure even coats during the application process. Light Gray, Dark Gray, Black and then White. Reasoning was to make sure that White covered Black in an overall uniform process. Then the boat was sanded with fine and extra fine grit wet sand paper. After the final sanding the bottom received two coats of Hard Trinidad bottom anti foulant. My partner & good friend Brian, a previous Commodore of the HYC and an excellent sailor & I both agreed to put the best bottom possible on the J because if the boat didn't sell we knew we had the best bottom humanly possible.. Rhum LINE has a beautiful interior, very good shape. The pictures say it all. One feature that everyone loves is the newer completely custom built for Rhum Line diesel fuel tank that has a large removable spin off cap so you can put your arm down and clean the inside of any build up.(see pictures).

Cruising Magazine had an article that listed 3 'Must Haves' when purchasing a pre~ owned sailboat.. An excellent sail inventory, a good running engine and a good bottom. We aced ALL 3.

RHUM LINE sports a Auto Helm 3000, works perfect and saved us from getting soaked on the way to haul out.
