One of my hopefully down the road projects is dealing with my boom, which has a slight bend in it at the tang for the vang. It needs to be dealt with, but not before I put this boat back in the water soon. I think sleeving a bent boom would be very challenged. I was just looking at it and it would seem that all I need is the aluminum extrusion. Transferring the hardware does not seem like it would be overwhelming and I have the monster rivet tool and all the required tools short of welding equipment. So is tracking down this extrusion easy or hard? Is Rig Right my only option? I can also look for a used boom. Is the extrusion commonly available here on the west coast?
Which of the two boom types is this one?

call jack at North Sails Seattle. He knows all the tricks. I had to do this job in Hawaii. The air freight cost more than the extrusion. I had an old crack under the vang tang that I never knew about. Part of the problem was that was the only piece f hardware that did not have lanocoat under it. The corrosion weakened the extrusion.
i'd stick it in a tree and bend it back. We used to straighten dingy masts this way when they inverted during high wind races. They were just slightly smaller than the j30 boom.
