I'm getting ready for the next big adventure in the rebuilding of MaJic Carpet, hull painting. The bottom of the boat is as good as it is going to get at this point in time so I am now starting to prep for the hull paint. I am curious where others have broken the color from the hull to the deck. I am sure that it needs to wrap up onto the deck, but should the break be at the bottom edge of the toe rail, or maybe just short of it, say 1/4" away. That would make taping off everything a bit easier.
I had been concerned that cleaning up the toe rails and refinishing them would be a pain, but so far so good. The teak is showing its worth here, the old finish scrapes pretty easily and then even the black stains sand away really well. This is much more fun than sanding the bottom of the boat for the umpteenth jillion time.
