Anybody have stories to share about the NAs this year? Was watching from afar. Several ZFPs it seemed.

Congratulations to winner Totaled Mayhem with Wildcat 2nd and Cannonball 3rd.
J/30 NA Results on Yacht Scoring
Light and shifty SW winds allowed an on time start Friday, building to 10+ over four races. Locals Shamrock, Pogo and Cannonball finished 1-3 in that order. Mayhem & Wildcat battled the next three with Mayhem going 1-3-4 and Wildcat 3-1-1. Bebop scored a couple 2nds with Mondial snatching a 2nd and Blue Meanie a 3rd. General recalls in race two and four brought out the Z flag for each restart and costing 20% or 3 places to each of six boats in the two races not to mention each having to restart for being OCS.

Friday night featured a crab feast for 100+ people at the water front home of Avita crew Steve & Nancy. Saturday's start had already been postponed to noon so everyone enjoyed the hospitality.

Even with the postponement there was a 90 minute delay before two races were run in a six knot southerly. Wildcat took the fifth race of the series but in the next race suffered an 8th+ a 30% penalty on a port starboard protest with Blue Meanie. Mayhem won the sixth race with Cannonball scoring two seconds for the day, with thirds going to Meanie and Infectious Smiles. Dinner at AYC's Sailing Center was lively with a large turnout of tired sailors and friends.

After an hour wait for breeze the finale Sunday was in another light southerly. Wildcat again won, but Mayhem was second to clinch the series by two points. Cannonball locked up third overall with a fourth in the final race.

Thanks to the Annapolis Yacht Club for hosting and the Race Committee for their patience. Special thanks to Bruce Irvin Chesapeake Fleet Captain chaired the event as well as the many volunteers in the class and club who helped with organization and measurement .
