Recently purchased a J-30. It's on the hard 260 miles away in a Hot Spot city as we are in the Covid-19 crisis. I plan on sailing the boat from Chicago to NW Lower Michigan in late May. In the mean time I'm looking at equipment for the boat. Bored and not able to play with my new boat. I think I may like/need a tiller extension. My question is, is an adjustable necessary or a simple fixed length adequate?

I've had great success with this model...

Spinlock Tiller Extension

I use the full range of this extension, many times to get my weight up forward and out of the stern.

Thanks for the reply. Is your's adjustable in length, if so what min/max do you have? Or is a fixed extension and what length? Sorry for the questions, but they offer a variety of sizes.
