Okay J/30 newbie question here. I’ve got rain water dripping down the interior ceiling handrails. Do the exterior rails thru-bolt into the interior rails? How do these things come off? It would be awesome if I didn’t have to remove the plugs on the interior rail because finding Ash plugs doesn’t seem like an easy task and I really don’t want to have to re varnish. Can it be done from just the top? Teak plugs are easy to find, and I think the exterior is just finished in teak oil.

Thanks for detailed info. Hopefully Russ is right and I don't have to remove the plugs on the interior rails.
