One of my teak toe rails on the beam is cracked so much that it needs replacing. It seems like a Genoa track should be there anyway, at least on that segment on the beam. That is what the J/35 has. I think this would also solve the problem of the dock line fairleads at the bases of the lifeline stanchions not being ideal, since you could use a sheet block on the Genoa track as a fairlead.
Am I nuts? Does anyone else install a track along the edge of the deck where the original toe rail is?
