After having a series of issues with halyard breakage, I finally replaced all my halyards this year. I used high tech core, covered line with no taper/splice. I figure the added weight is worth it, as the covering will chafe through to warn me before I'm at any risk of breakage. You mean Misthos got tired of running up the mast?
