After racing Encounter with the Broad Bay Sailing Association in the Tidewater area of Virginia for eight seasons, we have moved up to a bigger boat and must put her up for sale. She is currently moored at Norfolk Naval Station Marina; able to provide base access for interested parties.

Her maintenance and minor upgrades have kept her "class legal" to the best of my knowledge. Original engine still fires right up. Hauled for a new bottom annually. Recently completed USCGA safety inspection. Mast pulled and standing rigging, VHF antenna, windex, harken foil all replaced in January 2022. North mainsail raced weekly for three seasons, backup main still on hand. Laminate #1 and #3, Dacron #2. Two spinnakers. Two new Lewmar EVO 40ST self-tailers on hand - never installed; can be purchased separately.
