Charles - Can't answer your question but food for thought... What do you want to use the boat for? Who's going to to the work? How much time do you have to let it dry? Is there any moisture damage (i.e., is the boat actually unsafe)? Best to ask the opinion of someone who has done/can do the work. If there's little/no damage, then it can probably be dried-out and sealed with a reasonable amount of labor and dry-out-time. If there's mushy balsa and delamination (damage), the expense will be much higher. If you haven't bought the boat yet, you may find a dry boat is worth the difference in $. Good luck.
