I'm looking at purchasing a J-30 and I have done all the research short of sailing one. I am hoping that someone in NS might be kind enough to alowme to join them on a sail. Any opportunity would be greatly appreciated.
If you are able to come to Prince Edward Island , I would be glad to take you sailing on my J30 Silver Shadow.I`m in Montague, only 20 min. from the ferry to Nova Scotia. My new address is sunsetcove@islandtelecom.com .The J30 is a great all around sailboat, fun to race and great to cruise. Regards, Clive Johnston
I`m assuming NS means Nova Scotia,Canada. But maybe if there is another NS then you are still welcome to come to the greatest sailing area on the eastern seaboard. Can you imagine? C Johnston
Clive, I sent you an e-mail, im not sure if you had gotte it or not. I'm hoping that one of the local ie. Halifax / Chester owners see's this for the timing. However, I will be in Pictou Monday Sept 9th and if you were available would just pop across on the ferry. My e-mail is mbrunt@birdstairs.ca Thank you again for the offer.
Nova Scotia it is,Not too observent ,am I, eh! I moved up from Ranger 26, and a Tanzer 26 before that. As far as being tender goes, it is not a concern unless you are racing.A great cruising boat, safe and quick and real easy to sail.Main alone in a breeze, just like a Lazer, that easy. But you got to be strong and alert.Where abouts in NS are you located and which J 30 are you interested in buying.I got mine in Chester area about 6 or 7 years ago.Good luck, have fun, and contact me any time.I`m like you, I got lots of info before I bought it and haven`t regetted it once.Send me your email. My work email is clive@bradoliver.pe.ca Regards Clive Johnston

Take a look at the owners' directory on the front page of the web site. Then, do a search on "NS Canada" for the site. I think we've got about a half dozen in your province.
