It is time to consider a couple of things relative to this forum:
(1) The technology that we are using is quite old. We need to upgrade the software. Please post your request for improvements and features.
(2) We are getting slammed by a few spammers. What is the general thoughts about requiring approved authentication before posting. This would reququire everyone to register.
Many thanks to Bill (aka Rhapsody) for helping us keep the spam deleted. We have tracked the individual who is overseas. The authorities are very close to ending the trash.
Thanks for the feedback. Your wish is our command,

As David points out, we're trying to keep the spammers out and make the J/30 user forum better. In banning some of the spammers, a couple of people were locked out from posting who shouldn't have been. I apologize for that. It turns out they were not on the "banned" list but the user database was corrupted. It has been rebuilt. If anyone has a problem posting, send me an email at the address in the header of this message.
I encourage all those who post messages or replies to register on the forum, as we may be closing the forum to unregistered users for posting. It is one way we can help keep the spam away, but anyone will still be able to read.
Effective 27 April 2007, all people who desire to post a message or reply to a thread must be registered. This policy was instituted due to the amount of spam postings from automated "spambots". Attempts to filter and limit postings by IP address proved to be too restrictive and limited the ability for some members to post or reply to valid messages.
1. Anyone is allowed to register - you do not need to be a J/30 owner or class association member.
2. Registration will require a valid email address. You will get an automatic registration confirmation email to complete the registration process.
3. The forum rules and suitability of postings are unchanged - this change was instituted solely to limit spam.
