I recently bought a J/30 without an interior dining table. Another J/30 I sailed on had a folding table that was bolted to the interior bulkhead adjacent to the head. I liked it, and was wondering if anybody knew where I might be order one.

Many of the serious racers remove their tables to save weight and open up below decks for work. I also bought a J30 without an interior table (actually with about a little interior as I imagine is legal without being called stripped! I'm also working on putting ceiling strips in and a floor.). Dennis Bartley was nice enough to sell me his table, which he hadn't used in 12 years. I think it will be nice to have an original J30 table instead of a jurry rig. I'm in the process of installing it now. 2" PVC makes nice mounting pieces in the keel sump.

Any tables out there collecting dust? I suspect there's a market for them.

I have an original table in my basement gathering dust: Make me an offer.

I built a teak fold-down bulkhead table myself which serves quite well. It has two folding legs and the table itself folds so it can be used as a half-table or the whole thing. I modeled it after the J-40 fold-down table I saw at a boat show. Since then, I have seen a TSP-built table on a J-28 that would work for a J-30. Maybe TSP would sell one.
