I just bought a 1983 J30, and I'm looking to replace the non-original side deck windows by the original ones. I'll apreciate any advice on this.

What do you mean by non-original? Are they opening or are they just fixed? Either way we can help out we just need a bit more info.

David The holes are original size, but the windows are just brown acrylic attached with screws and sealed. They don't look good.

I took my old windows out and took them to a glass place and they cut new ones out of lexan, kind of a goldenbrown color. Then I installed them with silicon and they are perfect. I have been thinking about changing them to opening ports but have not had the courage to take a saw to the boat.

David,
My problem is a little different. The windows that I have, are not original. I'll take you're advice of getting a boat who does have the original one, copy the pattern send it to a window shop.
Thanks, Ivan #442
