Ours is shot. Does anyone know if there are any canvas shops that have these available as standard products before I go through the process of getting a custom cover made.

Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

thanks, Jeff

Try Neil Thurston at Thurston canvas in Bristol, RI. Neil does a lot of the canvas work for J/Boats. Web site http://www.thurstonsails.com/Canvas.html
Phone: 401-254-0970
I don't know if he has an off-the-shelf one, but my Sunbrella cover was made by Neil years ago and is still in good shape.

Please let me know how much they quote you....

I'm debating sewing a new cover, or buying one. I've bought the sunbrella canvas, but... it requires work! ;-)

I have a nice cover from Thurston (2 seasons)but it is the wrong color. It is the standard blue - not navy and it does not match my other canvas. If you are interested I could sell you mine at the end of the season and I will get one that matches the rest of my canvas.

Let me know if you are interested.

I had good luck with JSI: www.newjsi.com About $250 in Aug 2004 for a Sunbrella horse blanket with our name and J/30 logo. Measured mine a bit on the large size for shrinkage, but got a little carried away on the part that zips up around the mast. Still in good shape.

Thanks all - really appreciate the suggestions!

David: thanks for the offer. I'm also looking for a navy cover so that standard blue will not fit my needs.

Bob: I'll definately give them a call as well.

Cheers,

Jeff

I might be interested. Do you have a photo? How much do you want for it?

Thanks,
Ryan
