William James Holland Wallop, 43, of Annapolis, died suddenly December 5 in Atlanta, Georgia.
Known as "Billy," Mr. Wallop was born October 15, 1963, in Annapolis and graduated from Severna Park High School. He attended the Merchant Marine Academy in New York and the College of Charleston in South Carolina.
He was on the 1986 College of Charleston Intercollegiate National Championship Sailing Team, and he led the boat Cannonball to win the J/30 North American Championships in 1993.
He was self-employed in marketing and advertising.
Mr. Wallop loved fishing, crabbing and being on the water and was an avid sailor on Wednesday Night and Weekend races at the Annapolis Yacht Club.
Surviving are his wife, Christina Marie Wallop whom he married in 1999; two daughters, Marissa Rose and Gianna Marie Wallop of Atlanta; his parents, Dr. William Holland Wallop and Rosemary Naselli Wallop of Annapolis; one brother, John Douglass Wallop of Kent Island; three sisters, Janice Wallop Gruehn of Glen Mills, Pa., and Judith Wallop Karr and Alison Wallop Griswold, both of Severna Park; and his grandmother, Mrs. Francis Paul Naselli of Wallingford, Pa.
