We're looking into alternatives for setting up online registration and e-commerce for the 2008 J/30 North Americans, and associated merchandise like shirts. We've identified Google Checkout as a possible method. This provides U.S. non-profit organizations (IRS-certified 501(c)(3)s) with no fees. Is the J/30 organization classified as such? If not, there are still options available with reasonable fees. Look here: http://googlecheckout.blogspot.com/
Bottom line - we're looking at ways to make the registration easy, painless payment by credit card, and minimize the amount of paper that needs to be sent and tracked. Comments and suggestions are welcome here.

There are probably fees, but the application is specifically designed for this purpose, and it works great. Can PDF docs (insurance, PHRF certs, etc), crew list inputs, all NOR/SI info, etc.
