Does anyone know what model the 2 Burner Kenyon alcohol stove on my 1979/90 J/30 (#179) would be?
I'm trying to buy a burner rebuild kit from West, but can't identify the model.
Thanks!

This is sort of off-topic but has anyone tried to convert the pressurized alcohol stove to use the small disposable propane cannisters, or to a non-pressurized alcohol stove like an Origo? I would prefer either option to the pressurized alcohol, and I'm sure my wife would be more comfortable using it. If there's a conversion kit out there please let me know. Thanks!

I replaced mine with an Origo 4000. It was a simple drop-in with only minor filing to make it fit. It works great and my wife loves it!

I've also upgraded mine to the Origo. I love it as well. It's so much easier to use than the Kenyon that we don't mind using it for little things. With the Kenyon, it was such a hassle to prime and warm up that we didn't use it much. My one suggestion for it however, is to make sure that you keep the rubber disks that form a tight gasket over the burner canister when you're not going to be using the stove for an extended period. If they are not in place, the alcohol will evaporate slowly. Otherwise it's a great improvement over the original equipment

I dropped in an Origo 4000 recently. A real improvement over the pressurized models.
