I just bought an 81 and the boat has many upgrades including "on the fly" Harken adjustable jib cars. I have noticed that the starboard side car doesn't slide as well as I would like. Does anyone else have these? Is their anything I can do besides some kind of lubricant to loosen things up. Is there a "fix" that can prevent these cars from wearing out.

Harken cars all have replaceable delrin bearings. These things degrade over time. Search for 'replacement delrin bearings' at http://mauriprosailing.com . You need your part number to dig up the right part. Or call them, they're quite knowledgeable.
