I just reviewed the 05 rules, and came across this:

"The anchor shall be stored in the anchor well. A minimum of six feet of chain shall be attached to the anchor or the anchor line."

So contrary to the Annapolis measurement form, the anchor chain and line may be stored separate from the anchor, as long as chain and line remain connected.

One of many variations to the RULES... we would hope to solidify all this before another NAtional Regatta. Everyone participating should read the rules, know the rules, and be able to apply them instead of perhaps "arbitrary interpretation". FYI; the Tartan 10 fleet passes the mantle of "Measurer" every two years to another active member of the class.
