Here is a recent photo of ZV2. We are looking forward to seeing everyone at NAs. So what can you see that is wrong in this photo?

Has the Zephyr crew gone soft and are racing cruising class without the spinnaker???? There's a lot of beef on that boat with not much wind!

The series was hosted by Southern Yacht Club and a local sailing association who races non-spin which is very boring.

So what's wrong with the main?

Bolt rope caught in the prefeeder? Or slug caught in gate?

Halyard tension too lose. We needed a couple of cranks to correct. That sail came with the boat. I think it was made in 1983. Probably stretched to the max! LOL

When you get 'er cranked all the way up, and still have the draft way aft, how about a 2nd cunningham ?

We ran an ancient main on Midnite #34 last few of years and last year decided to use the trimming reef to get the boom off the winches. Bonus was that it put some shape back in the tired sail,we could point about 5-6 degrees higher upwind. On real lihgt wind days we would ease it out downwind for a it extra sail area.
