Turnout for the districts is shaping up. So, mark June 3rd and 4th on the schedule, and join in!
We've got:
Fuzzy Wuzzy, Pale Rider, Smiles, Laser Beam, Youthul Indiscretion, and Blue Jacket registered. I *KNOW* we're going to see Blue Meanie and Dow Jones, but we don't have registrations yet.... And of course, we should see several other of our regular boats.
The $50 late fee kicks in shortly, (after the 25th) so now's a good time to go and register.

I purchased #274 Paddywagon from Joe MaCann and Renamed it Kinsale. I wrote a check to the J-30 class association on Feb.28,2006.I have not heard from anyone and as I see the directy has not been updated since 1-10-06 I am not sure if I am in "the loop". I am planing to do both the Larchmont NOOD and the northamericans in Sept. I need to know if my registration was recived. Mike White

Hi "Kinsale". Come on up to Westport on June 3rd and 4th to race in the districts as well! We will have 9boats minimum if you make it up. Welcome to the class! John M. who put up the original post on this thread is class president-I'm sure your info will be in the database soon.

We're up to 11, with "Special Sauce" and "Bad Dog" pushing us into double digits. One more boat and we're an even dozen. I know we're still missing some active folks. Come up to Westport, we'll be having some serious fun this weekend.

Bengt Johansson and Fuzzy Wuzzy certainly didn't seem fuzzy at all as they racked up a dominating score line to win the Fleet 4 districts. With 12 boats racing, and two days of breeze (and one of rain) we got in five races, all hard fought. John McArthur's Smiles took second, with Steve Buzbee's Blue Meanie third.
We had boats from both ends of the District, With Blue Meanie and Fuzzy Wuzzy treking all the way up from Raritan, Pale Rider comming up from City Island and Special Sauce making the (shorter) trip from the east end of the district in Black Rock. Getting 12 boats, and getting boats from all over the region marked this is the best attended Districts in years.
I hope I can speak for everyone who came out and raced in saying it was an incredible time, and that I look forward to seeing everyone back out again at future one design events. You can go take a look at www.thephotoboat.com and see a ton of pictures that were taken on the water over the weekend.
Next up, the Red Grant, down in Raritan, on July 8 and 9th, followed by the NOOD, at Larchmont, September 9th and 10th, and then the J/30 North Americans, back at Cedar Point, on the following weekend, September 15th, 16th and 17th. Building on this weekend's turnout, I hope to see us solidly break 20 boats at the NAs.
