I have been playing with shroud tensions in different wind and have had some success "powering up" the rig, but I was wondering if anyone has any specific tension numbers for different wind velocity. I am going to a CORK next week and am trying to be as competitive as possible. I am using the old style loose gauge, can't afford the new one yet. My crew eats too much when we race! Ha Ha. I look forward to hearing from you. I have been running close to equal tension on the uppers and lowers and have been erring on the side of looser rather than tighter. I am doing better in heavier wind than in the lighter stuff. I am also dealing with short interval lake chop and waves. Thanks in advance.

There's a good old thread on this topic at this link. It's also going depend on the cut of your sails, so correct accordingly. Make sure your mast base position is set per max class spec prior to adjustment.
