J/30 Class Membership - Bill KnellerA presentation about the benefits of class membership was provided. Emphasized that the
J/30 Class Website at j30.org is a great resource for everyone. Everyone was reminded that class support is encouraged through membership and dues. Annual dues are $50, and can be paid online.
J/30 Board of Governor's Report - Bill KnellerA summary of the 1 Oct 2009 BOG meeting with topics discussed and votes taken was provided. Individuals desiring more detailed information were directed to the posting on the forum with the
meeting minutesOne Design & PHRF Race Opportunities - Charlie StoddardA review of the
NBYA race schedule was provided. The following events are designated as J/30 SNE One Design:
2010 J/30 North Americans - Bill KnellerA discussion about the upcoming NAs in Marblehead Aug 6-8 2010. The opportunity for a cruise on the way up and back was discussed. Also opportunities for crewing, providing loaner boats, and signing up for the social events. A poll of potential boats racing included: Rhapsody, Nemesis, Falcon, Wicked, Jeanie, and Good News. Good News could be a potential loaner boat.
SNE District ElectionsA slate was proposed for elections, and nominations opened. A motion was made to accept the slate as proposed and have the secretary cast one vote to approve. This was approved unanimously.
