1979 J/30 Hull #122 Blitz - Solomon's MD

Winner of 2003 North American’s in Annapolis Sept 2003! 2008 Governors Cup 2nd PHRF B 2nd J/30 NA’s 1997 and 4th in 1998 NA’s. One of the faster J/30’s around with many upgrades. Bottom and blades fared. This boat is in excellent shape, well cared for, race or cruise ready.
Recent upgrades: Engine care (Since 2000):
New fuel lift pump
New starter
New start switch/impeller w/spares/belt w/spares/filter w/spares.
New PSS Shaft Seal/shaft alignment 2007
New cutlass bearing 2004
Martec Prop pulled and sent to factory for refurbishment and balance 2008
Two new West Marine 750 batteries 2008
Had all of the gaskets replaced in the engine 2002
Replaced exhaust elbow and pump housing 2000.
Sails:
New 2007 Sails: UK carbon fiber Tape Drive Main (Quantum loft serviced-teflon taped last year sailed once since in Gov Cup)
#1 (Kevlar/Mylar)
Sail upgrades: Class Dacron Main Quantum serviced with new tapered battens-not sailed yet but J30 North Americans ready.

North #3 -Quantum serviced 2008-sailed once in Gov Cup
2 new spinnakers ¾ and .5 oz. ¾ sailed once in Gov Cup; .5 never sailed numerous cruising sails (#1’s and Mains-all stored)
Misc:
New interior, and forward hatch 1997. The interior was made by Coast Cushions (the TPI Supplier). 5 ½” thick foam just like the latest J/30 models. Color is Slate Blue.
New Hall Spar, boom, standing and running rigging 1995.
New Stanchions and Lifelines 1995.
Deck repainted 2007.
New Instruments 2003 Silva Nexus fully integrated System with 3 multi displays. GPS Display interfaced with Magellan GPS (disconnected). KVH Sailcomp with 2 displays (1992).
New Impeller 2008.
