John McArthur passes on the following information from the LIS meeting held 3 February 2008.

The LIS Fleet members agreed on the follow One Design Regattas for '08.
1. The One Design Regatta at Cedar Point Yacht club. June 7 & 8.
2. The Red Grant Regatta at Raritan Yacht Club. July 12 &13.
3. The YRA-LIS Championship Regatta. Club TBD. August 9 & 19.
4 The Larchmont NOOD, Larchmont Yacht Club. Sept. 6 & 7.

The One Design Regatta at Cedar Point will be the District Championship and North American Qualifiers. The NA qualifier is to determine candidates for Loaner Boats at the NAs in Bristol. Most LIS J30 sailors planning to attend will most likely sail their own boats. If any fleet member is interest in a loaner, please let me know.

If anybody is receiving the LIS fleets emails and would like to be removed from the mailing list, please let me know. If you are no longer a J30 owner and recently have sold your boat please forward the new owners information.

The LIS fleet will be charging fleet dues for the first time in a number of seasons. Please send $25. for dues to Carl Sherter, 170 Grandview Ave, Waterbury CT, 06708. Please make the check out to Carl Sherter.
