David Erwin OP J30.us Joined: Jul 2004 Posts: 868 New Orleans, LA, USA	Anyone have a water pump case for a 2GM laying around? We discovered the housing to have cracks on Black Magic. We've ordered a new water pump. We simply want to rebuild a spare for the fleet - emergency purposes. Thanks! Dave@j30.us

Bob Rude Senior Member Joined: Mar 2009 Posts: 116 RI	David: When you remove the cover and replace the impeller, take a sheet of coarse emery paper and place it flat on a workbench. Then take the cover and rub it good against the emery paper to clean it off and level it out. I just saw my mechanic do it and it worked well. Install proper gasket, bedding compound, and close it up. Looks as good as new. Bob Rude
